It started with Beasley having a vision to make an album titled “The Soundtrack of Gen Z” that would give various artists the opportunity to collaborate and offer their gifts and talents. This album would challenge thought patterns to encourage health and wholeness. Dayvon was eager to embark on a journey of filmmaking to tell stories and help people in a way he hadn’t yet been able to do in his film work. As they began to share their hearts in a meeting one day, they sensed the convergence, and the idea for the film was birthed.
Where did the idea for the project come from?
We are taking the little that we have, offering it in service to others, and believing for a miracle. The miracle is seeing Gen Z believe that there is more to who they are and who they can become than simply what has happened to them. We love the mediums of music and film and believe that this passion was given to us to reach people and truly make a change. This isn’t a job–It’s a burden. We aren’t just interested in making a difference–We are invested in making a difference. The real question isn’t, “Why?” but, “Why not?”.
Why are we creating this film?
What is the film about?
Simply put, it is about hope! Through compelling music and visuals, we desire to reach the hearts and minds of Gen Z and beyond. Everything that comes into existence in life begins as some form of a “seed.” It’s from a seed that things can grow and come to be. We believe this film and soundtrack will deposit “seeds” into ears, hearts, and minds, and that from there we will see something explosive begin to happen! It’s not difficult to see that death is a central focus in what is taught and even used for entertainment. It’s time for life and light to shine and take over in a fading and hopeless society. The circumstances you are born into do not dictate what you have to become. There is more for you, and we want this film to strike a hunger and curiosity that propels people onto a quest for true life, love, and purpose.
